Dr.Edward
Tamale Sali is the founder and Team Leader of
Faith and Science Ministries which telecasts his
television ministry in Uganda on light house Television,
the number Christian Television in Uganda which
also telecasts the reknown TBN TV- Trintity Broadcasting
Network and can be seen weekly in over 2 million
homes in Uganda.
Dr. Sali is the founder and Director
of Womens
Hospital International, besides being the
only Fertility Centre of its kind in East and
Central Africa!
Dr. Sali is married to Kate Sali
,they have five children , and one grandchild.
Dr. Sali attended Makerere University
in Kampala, Uganda. He graduated with an MB ChB
in 1974. He also attended LRCP; University in
Uk where he received his Masters Degree in 1979.
In 1995 he received his Honorary Doctorate from
FRCOG University,UK.. In 1973,he pioneered the
starting of Uganda Christian Medical Fellowship
which is vibrant and changing lives amongst the
Medical fraternity.
He has a diverse experience as a
consultant Obstetrician and gynaecologists having
worked with Kuwait Oil Company Hospital from 1986
to 2004, held various posts in the Uk between
1978 and 1986 and as a lecturer in Makerere University
Medical School between 1975 and 1977
In 1993,Dr Sali and his wife Kate
started a home church in Kuwait, which has become
a well established church with a congregation
of more than 500 people with a full time pastor.Dr
Sali and his wife Kate have continued to support
churches in Kuwait in the areas of evangelism,bible
study groups and other related Christian work,like
prayer groups.
Dr. Sali has been a frequent speaker at many Christian
churches in Kuwait one thing that he thanks God
for.
Dr. Sali is the author of a small
tract entitled-“WHAT DOES CHRISTMAS MEAN
TO YOU? Which is written in English and translated
in Luganda, a local dialet used in most parts
of Uganda,East Africa.This tract has been largely
distributed in Uganda and Kuwait and the results
are outstanding-Praise the Lord!!
With the Help of God ,he is in the process of
publishing more tracts, to advance the work of
evangelism.
